Project overview
Liatam partnered with Praxis for the electrical engineering, construction supervision and commissioning of their Bald Hill Lithium Concentrator Crushing System. Having earned trust in prior collaborations, we took on the challenge to install a new 1000tph crushing and screening plant, addressing the need to reduce rock sizes before processing in the main plant.
Project scope
- Electrical engineering, construction supervision and commissioning of a 1000tph crushing and screening plant.
- Addition of five 500kW diesel generating sets, four 2.5MVA transformers, a jaw crusher, 20 conveyors, three cone crushers, stockpile and a tunnel reclaim system.
- Modelling and HV submission completed in Digsilent PowerFactory.
Challenges overcome
- Tight schedule demands.
- China-supplied equipment rectification
Solution
- Formed a cohesive engineering and site team.
- Thorough planning and scheduling for efficient project execution.
Results
- Successful electrical engineering and construction supervision for the new crushing system.
- Enhanced reliability and cost-effectiveness for Liatam’s operations.
- Crushed product of a more uniform grade, reducing strain on downstream processing equipment.
- Project completed within the accelerated schedule, meeting client expectations and regulatory standards.
